Catherine's Courses and Training

Craniosacral Therapy Courses
CranioSacral Therapy 1: Assessment of Central Nervous System and Fascia for Full Body Treatment Protocol Provides the foundation to understand the crucial craniosacral system and its relationship to illness, pain, and dysfunction. Also helps therapists develop light-touch palpation skills to access and release subtle restrictions in the body.
CranioSacral Therapy 2: Moving Beyond the Dura for Assessing Acute and Chronic Conditions Examines the craniosacral system in relation to other physiological body systems. Also enhances the ability to conduct whole-body evaluations.
SomatoEmotional Release 1: Full Range of CranioSacral Therapy Tools for Gentle Trauma Resolution Explores the body/mind relationship and the psychophysiological mechanisms of disease. Teaches techniques to dissipate the residual effects of trauma and negative emotional experiences.
SomatoEmotional Release 2: Intention, Inner Physician and Dialogue - Deepening Principles and Practice of Upledger CranioSacral Therapy Blends SomatoEmotional Release with therapies such as psychosynthesis, Gestalt, and Jungian psychology to help patients increase self-awareness.
Advanced CranioSacral Therapy 1: This in-depth, upper-level course is designed for the experienced CranioSacral Therapy practitioner. It uses CranioSacral Therapy as the core vehicle to evaluate skills, polish techniques, and refine palpation capabilities.
Advanced 2 CranioSacral Therapy: Teaches the latest findings in the advanced study of CranioSacral Therapy. CranioSacral Therapy: Listening to the Second Brain - The Enteric Nervous System
Clinical Application of CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release: Allows therapists to refine their skills through professional observation and firsthand interaction with a Diplomate-certified CranioSacral Therapy practitioner.
Cranial Nerves: An in-depth look at the cranial nerves and how to work with them. CranioSacral Dissection: This allows a deeper understanding of the craniosacral system through the dissection of an unembalmed cadaver.
CranioSacral Therapy Touching The Brain 1; Stimulating Self-Correction Through The Glial Interface
The Brain Speaks 1sm: Applies imagery and dialogue techniques to the brain and spinal cord to help therapists learn new ways to ease stresses and injuries to the body.
The Brain Speaks 2: TBS2 builds upon the skills of TBS1. Whereas TBS1 is a brain overview course, TBS2 utilizes the skills introduced and developed in TBS1 and uses them to explore and work with specific dysfunctions and patterns encountered frequently in clinical practice. Beyond The Cranial Base: BCB expands the work learned in CS1 and CS2 and adds another level to the biomechanical CranioSacral Therapy training. Through the fascial systems of the body there are numerous interactions between the craniosacral system (CSS) and the rest of the body. Different fascial systems can cause marked interference with the CSS function. The hands-on sessions will focus on superficial skull systems, different fascial systems in the occipital cranial base (OCB), vascular OCB, neurological OCB, ethmoid – sphenoid restrictions, whole spine evaluation and treatment.
